Product Description
These "Electronic Science Labs" will teach you about electronics from A to Z. With these all-in-one labs, you'll learn about electronic parts, how to read schematics, and wiring diagrams. All this while building up to 500 different projects. These kits use two quick and easy hook-up methods: Spring Method: Simply slip pre-cut wires and components into special springs for a safe, secure connection. Breadboard Method: Featured in our advanced kits, this system is used by professionals and engineers. Just plug the components and wires into the special breadboard socket holes. No soldering is required. Everything uses safe battery power - no dangerous AC is required, so it's safe for all ages. Labs come with all Components and wires needed to build each project. NO TOOLS ARE REQUIRED. No prior knowledge is needed to assemble and build these exciting projects. Easy-to-read, illustrated, lab-style manuals take you through each electronic experiment step-by-step. All are designed for ages 10 & up, so these are ideal for MIDDLE SCHOOLS and HIGH SCHOOLS.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent Introduction to Electronics   December 31, 2002

We purchased this for our daughter (8 yrs) and she loves it. It does a good job of explaining electronic concepts and allows for varying levels of experience to enjoy the projects. Everything you'll need is included and the experiments are flexible, progressive and "really cool".

Those are the noises my nephew, with some help from his father, was making with this kit after just a few minutes. We gave it to him for his 7th birthday and, though a bit young to go it alone at first, he is learning a lot and it is a great activity for him to enjoy with his parents, grandparents, etc.
It's a great toy AND educational tool.
He is at a stage where he wants to really figure out how things work and LOVES the kit and the oportunities for experimenting it offers.
While I was driving home from his birthday party he called my cell phone to let me listen as he talked into it and his voice came out on the radio.
It's a hit.

I have a 9 year old son. I got this for him last Christmas. I only bought it because I remembered when I had something similar to it a long time ago. I remembered how much I learned from it about electricity, and how it got me into it. The look on my boy after a few hours playing with it was just the same as I had years ago. This toy is very enjoyable and educational at the same time. I have another boy (5years old), and he doesn't know how to play with it, but he has an intrest of the sounds it makes, and some of the projects you can have your voice broadcasted through a weak AM channel. My son took it to school to show and tell, and the teacher asked him if he can bring it again so they can work on some of the projects it has in it. All in all it is FUN 4 ALL ;)

One of our foster sons doesn't enjoy school, partially, because he is a visual, hands on learner. He really enjoys working with my husband on this kit. He'll even read (a struggle for him) the instructions so he can do a new project with it.

This set has been around for a while, because received one for Christmas when I was 11. I worked as a computer maintenance tech in the Air Force, and as an electronics repair tech for several years afterward, and now I design and build guitar amplifiers in my spare time. I can say it all began when I received this set.

Not only did I do every project in the manual, but the set allows for experimenting on your own, so I never grew bored of it. It's not for every kid, but for a kid like me, it was the best Christmas gift I ever received, and I think it has had an effect on my whole life since then.
