Good power, low price December 1, 2008 J. Komets (Berlin, Germany) 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
Great price for a 60W iron, cheapest I could find. Does its job well enough, even though it smokes a little sometimes from between the tip and barrel (it did this before I first used solder, so it's really the iron that is smoking, but it's really minimal).
Great value for 60w soldering iron April 5, 2009 Thomas Vanscyoc 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
If you need a cheap soldering iron for soldering large electronic connections, look no further. This thing gets as hot as I expected and works great on those large connections that a 35w iron can't handle. It comes with one fairly large tip, though anything requiring a smaller tip should likely be using a lower-power soldering iron. Best value on a 60w iron you can get!
Hot and heavy October 29, 2009 D. Reynolds (Sonoma County, CA USA) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
At 60w, this is a seriously efficient soldering iron, especially if you're used to 15-30'sl. I've already melted the crap out of bits of chassis etc from only brief accidental contact with the shaft that holds the tip. It's ready to use in about a minute and stays very hot for a long time after turing off. I use a homemade power switch so I don't risk yanking it around while unplugging. The holder that comes with it is lame - get a new one if your a serious soldier. She's a scorcher.
Perfect for making bows September 12, 2009 Laurel P. Morphis (Ontario, CA United States) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought this soldering iron because I make hairbows for my little girl and it does a wonderful job of cutting the ribbon while sealing the edge. It heats up really quickly and works great, plus it was very reasonably priced. I am very happy with it.
Soldering Pencil January 9, 2010 Grant Varga (NYC) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Was looking for a garden variety soldering pencil and the relatively high heat for this one was not a problem as I am a very experienced solderer. I've used this a few times and it seems to fill the bill perfectly.
